1141-The Passover Lamb (Part 2)
1141-The Passover Lamb (Part 2)

Let's read Exodus 12:8-11 from the Old Testament:

8 That night you shall eat the flesh of the lamb, roasted in fire, with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. 9 You shall not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire, with its head, its legs, and its entrails. 10 You shall let none of it remain until morning, and what remains of it until morning you shall burn with fire. 11 And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord's Passover.

Let us pray together:

Loving Heavenly Father, we thank and praise you for your grace. Lord, on this first Sunday of the New Year, we gather here to worship and praise you. We believe that today you will provide for us, and we are willing to receive blessings from your word and strength from your word. Thank you, Lord, for placing this time in your gracious hands. May the Holy Spirit guide each of our hearts. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen!

We are sharing the second half of the Passover, and today's topic is called "Eating the Lamb's Meat Will Renew Your Strength."

Last time we shared that during Passover, the doorposts and lintels of each Israelite household were to be smeared with the blood of the lamb. This blood was not for the people to see, but for God to see! When God's angel saw this blood, He would pass over that house. Thus, the Israelites were spared from death through the blood of the lamb. Hallelujah!

Our salvation as Christians relies on the precious blood of Jesus Christ. When the precious blood of Jesus was shed, we believe that His precious blood was shed for our sins, and our sins have been forgiven. When we believe this, Jesus saves us from death.

You may not see this blood, but that’s okay; this blood is not for you to see, but for God to see. Therefore, our Lord knows the efficacy of this precious blood; He knows what it represents. He knows that this precious blood can grant forgiveness for all your sins throughout your life. We are saved through such precious blood.

What should the saved do? Some people believe in Jesus, but you may find that these people often say, "Oh, I am often weak," or "I don’t see any significant change after believing in Jesus." Where is their problem? Their problem lies in the content we are sharing today.

That night, when the angel was outside the door and saw the blood of the lamb, he did not strike down the people inside the house. Just like us today, you are already saved, so God will not forsake you. So how can Christians overcome the problems in life and become victorious Christians?

Today, we should all pursue victory in our lives. Let’s see what the people inside the house were doing that night.

We just read verse 8: "That night, you shall eat the flesh of the lamb, roasted in fire, with unleavened bread and bitter herbs."

Brothers and sisters, this is very important. On the night the blood was smeared, the blood was on the outside of the doorposts and lintels. This was on the outside. The lamb's meat was for the family to enjoy, so they could gain strength. Thus, in every household, they were eating roasted lamb! The Bible mentions that the head, legs, and entrails should be included and roasted to eat. This meat was a significant reason for them to regain strength. Amen!

If you feel weak today, you should eat the lamb's meat at home like the Israelites! You can understand the lamb's meat as reading the Bible, praying, and gathering together; that’s also good, and it can also be understood as communion.

When you read God's word in the Bible, God will give you strength because the more you believe in the words of Christ and act accordingly, you will see God's wonders and greatness manifested in your life. Hallelujah!

In God's eyes, sin must have a price paid, and this blood is the precious blood shed by Jesus Christ. It has satisfied God's justice, and God no longer remembers your sins. On the other hand, as Christians, after we believe in Jesus, by eating God's word, our behavior will change, becoming more and more like Christ.

Eating the meat means we gain strength to walk. Whose belly does this meat go into? It’s not for God to eat, right? God did not say, "You shall offer the roasted lamb to me after you have cooked it at home." Who eats it? The Israelites themselves ate it. So today, when God gives us the Bible, it is not for God to read; it is for us to read.

Whoever eats will gain strength. Have you noticed that today when you eat lamb or beef, who does that strength become? It becomes your strength. It’s not that if you eat a bit of beef, you grow into a piece of beef, right? No, after you eat the lamb's meat, it will ultimately become your flesh, and this flesh will become your strength.

So if you feel weak, it actually indicates that you have not been eating the lamb's meat daily. What you need to do is return to God and receive His provision and strength. Amen! This will renew your strength.

So that night, the Israelites were all eating the lamb's meat at home.

Thank the Lord! Our Jesus Christ has done two things: on one hand, He worked outside of us to please God; on the other hand, He also works inside of us, allowing us to change our lives by eating the lamb's meat, making our lives more abundant, so that every day we have the strength to overcome the problems we encounter in life.

If people only pay attention to the work of Christ's death and neglect the supply of life, they may often be weak. So some people, you will find they are indeed saved, but they do not gather, do not read the Bible, do not participate in church service. Therefore, this person's behavior may be hard to change, often remaining weak. What is the reason? It is the lack of "eating."

In fact, there is a term during the New Year called "eating." What do we do when we go to relatives' homes? You see, many people go to relatives' homes today, right? For example, when they come to your house, what do they do? They eat together. They are not there to clean the house or cook; the food is already prepared. What is it? It’s to eat together, chat while eating.

That night, the most important thing for the Israelites was not to sit and wait or read the Bible; it was to eat the lamb's meat, which became their strength.

When we Christians listen to the correct teachings every day, read the Bible, and repeatedly meditate on God's words, we can live it out in our lives, and this will become our help. When you read the Bible and feel that this passage is for you, and you meditate on it repeatedly, eventually letting this word become yours and put it into practice, it becomes your flesh and your strength.

So the Bible mentions, "Do not merely listen to the word, but do what it says," which means this. Meditate repeatedly, let it become yours, and when you act on this word, God's word will have an effect in you. Hallelujah!

Let’s see why the Israelites ate the lamb's meat. Because after dawn, they were to leave Egypt, they did not eat the lamb's meat to sleep. Today, when we receive God's word, it is not for us to do nothing, but to apply it in our daily lives as we journey ahead.

The next day, the Israelites were to leave Egypt, traveling a long distance to Canaan. Therefore, at night, they had to eat enough to have the strength to walk. We are the same; today is the first day of our week. When you receive God's word today, in the following days, meditate on this word, and it will become your strength. You can overcome in life through God's word.

Today, are we not eating while listening to the word? We are eating, and after eating, we need to digest it. You see, when a cow eats, it eats and eats, and after eating, it chews again; the chewing process is the digestion process.

After we listen to the word, when we go home, we think about this passage, and we start to meditate repeatedly. If you feel weak, return to the words of Jesus, because Jesus is not weak, so I am not weak. I can do all things through the strength that God gives me. When you repeatedly think about these words, they will become your strength. So today, when you come before God, you need to eat the lamb's meat, receive His provision, and gain His strength, so that you can serve. Amen!

Let’s look at verses 8 to 10 and see how the Israelites ate the lamb.

That night, they were to eat the lamb's meat, roasted in fire. Brothers and sisters, why must it be roasted in fire? The Bible specifically mentions that they should not eat it raw or boiled in water; it must be roasted in fire. What does this roasting represent?

I have checked some scriptures, and many people in the past have explained that fire represents the Holy Spirit. But have you noticed that the Holy Spirit's fire does not completely burn a person up? No. When Moses first encountered God, that fire was the Holy Spirit's fire, and when that fire burned in the bush, did it burn the bush? No.

You see, the Holy Spirit's fire will not destroy something. Today, if the Holy Spirit's fire comes upon us and turns us into dry corpses, that would be a problem. That is definitely not the Holy Spirit's fire. So what does it refer to here? It is real fire, Amen?

Because originally it was a living lamb, and after being placed in the fire, what did it become? Roasted. That symbolizes God's fierce judgment! When God's fierce fire came upon Jesus on the cross, do not misunderstand that as the Holy Spirit's fire; it is not. That was God's judgment fire that came upon Jesus.

Jesus took all of this upon Himself. What does the body of the lamb represent? The body of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ gave His body for us; He bore the anger from God, meaning all our sins were laid upon Jesus, and He bore God's punishment on the cross in our place.

After being roasted in fire, who ate its meat? The Israelites received its meat. Brothers and sisters, when God's fierce fire came upon Jesus, what came out from Him? We eat the lamb's meat; this lamb must die. This lamb that was roasted in fire is already dead, right?

This lamb died for us; Jesus Christ died for us. Hallelujah! So when we eat His flesh, we receive His provision, His righteousness, His health, His joy, His strength, and His healing. Amen!

Because Jesus bore the sins of all humanity on the cross and accepted God's righteous judgment, God's fierce anger burned upon Jesus. At that moment, He bore all our sins on the cross, and we can receive His holiness, His righteousness, and His completeness through Jesus Christ.

Roasted with unleavened bread and bitter herbs, what does unleavened bread represent? It represents the sinless body of Jesus Christ. And what do the bitter herbs represent? The bitter herbs in the Bible refer to various bitterness, punishment, and calamity.

Last time we shared that the Israelites held a piece of bread in their left hand and took the lamb's meat and bitter herbs from the table with their right hand, placing the meat inside the bread and rolling it up to eat. What does this represent? God, through the body of Jesus Christ, placed all our sins in His body, wrapping up all the bitterness, all the roots of bitterness, and all the punishment in His body.

When the Israelites ate the bitter herbs, they knew that every year when they ate the bitter herbs, they should remember that Jesus took their suffering and saved them from their misery. Hallelujah! So we know that we are delivered from these calamities. When calamities came upon the Egyptians, the Israelites were safe.

God specifically mentioned that they should not eat it raw or boiled. Why not eat it raw? Why not eat it boiled? Only roasting can represent God's judgment.

The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death, so Jesus had to die. Eating boiled or raw is man's method, which God does not acknowledge.

In fact, no one can kill Jesus because He had no sin. Today, if a person has no sin, no one can kill him. So Jesus went to the cross willingly to give His life for us; He was willing to exchange His sinless life for our sinful life, so that we can receive His life today. Hallelujah!

He was willing to accept God's fierce punishment so that we would no longer bear God's punishment. Therefore, apart from the cross, apart from the lamb being roasted in fire, under God's fierce fire, there is no other way to go. Hallelujah! There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved; only through Jesus Christ can we enter the kingdom of heaven.

Let’s look further at the attitude of the Israelites when they ate the lamb.

In verse 11, "And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord's Passover."

Besides eating, you also need to prepare some things. The first thing is to have your waist girded. The Israelites have a tradition; in the past, their clothing was like our ancient robes, long and flowing. So when they worked, they had to tie a belt around their waist for strength. Otherwise, think about it: if the clothing is so wide, it is not suitable for work. When you see them girding their waist, it signifies they are preparing to do something.

Another thing is to wear shoes. In fact, the Israelites might be like many of us today, leaving their shoes at the door. Then what? After entering the house, they would change shoes. The Israelites were the same; after entering their homes, they would take off their shoes and eat with their feet facing outward, reclining in that position.

At this time, God told them not to eat like that; they should wear shoes and eat quickly. What does this represent? Time is about to run out; do not eat and then sleep like before. Now is not the time to sleep; it is time for you to walk! Thank the Lord!

They wore shoes on their feet and held a staff in their hands. What does this staff represent? In the Bible, when the staff is mentioned, it generally refers to authority.

We know that later Moses led them to the Red Sea. At this time, the Red Sea blocked their way, and there were enemies behind them, with no way forward. What to do? Moses was afraid, and the Israelites began to complain. At this moment, Moses prayed to God, pleading, "Lord, what should I do?" God said, "Moses, what is in your hand?" Moses replied, "A staff." God said, "Why do you cry out to me? I have already given you authority. Stretch out your staff over the sea, and the waters will part."

Moses listened to God's words, took the staff, stretched it over the Red Sea, and began to pray. God started a mighty east wind that blew all night, and the entire Red Sea parted nearly a mile wide, and they all crossed over on dry ground. Brothers and sisters, when you accept Jesus, God also gives you a staff, an invisible staff. What is this staff? The authority of a Christian. Hallelujah!

So when you encounter difficulties every day, remember God's words to Moses: stretch out your staff over that problem and command diseases and issues to leave with the authority of Christ. Because no problem can surpass our God's power, when you accept Jesus, God has already given you this staff. Therefore, when Moses stretched out this staff over the Red Sea, it parted and solved the problem.

You are also a child of God, and God has given you authority. Many people believe in Jesus but still act like Moses, saying, "Oh Lord, have mercy on me. Look how pitiful I am, right? Just open your eyes and look at me, and give me a little of your mercy!" They beg like beggars, praying every day before God.

"Why do you plead with God?" You already have a staff in your hand; you need to use the authority that Christ has given you.

During the three and a half years, did Jesus encounter many problems? Many sick people were brought to Him, some possessed by demons, and some dead. When Jesus faced these problems, did He ever kneel before God and say, "Father, how pitiful I am, please give me some power to heal him!"? Did He ever pray like that? Not once. In front of these sick people and difficulties, what did He do? He used the authority in His hand. Hallelujah! So He said to the paralyzed man, "Get up, take your mat, and go home!"

He used His authority.

Although the Red Sea was vast and the difficulties seemed great, they were not greater than the staff in Moses' hand. Hallelujah!

At the end of the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." And Jesus has given this authority to the children of God today, so you also possess the authority of Jesus. When you become a child of God, He has already given you authority, such authority allows you to overcome all things through Jesus Christ. Amen!

You may ask, "Why am I still weak?" It’s because you are eating too little. Do you understand what I mean? Eating too little. At this time, think about what the Israelites were doing at home? They were eating lamb's meat, continuously eating; when they were full, they had strength.

Well, let’s read a passage from Ephesians 6:13-17:

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

This passage tells us that as Christians, after you accept Jesus, you need to put on the armor of God.

First, let’s see, is the head not the most important? The helmet must be worn well; if the head is injured, if the head suffers a serious injury, that person is likely not far from death. What helmet do we wear? The helmet of salvation. Today, this helmet is not earned by your efforts; it is the helmet of salvation, freely given to you by God. Amen!

Have you put on the helmet of salvation today? You have already put it on. So when you believed in Jesus, you knew that on your head, you have already put on the helmet of salvation. The devil cannot directly attack you; he must first break through this helmet to harm your head. Brothers and sisters, can the devil defeat Jesus? No. The devil has already failed two thousand years ago. Can anyone take away this salvation? No one can take away your helmet of salvation. Amen!

The breastplate of righteousness is also very important. Besides the head, the heart cannot be injured. What do we use as a breastplate? Righteousness. So, the head is the most important, and the second most important is the body; the chest cannot be struck. If struck, it would be troublesome. So what has God given you? Righteousness. The righteousness of Jesus Christ. So today, we have already put on this breastplate of righteousness; it is already upon you. Can the devil break through? No one can take away the righteousness that Jesus Christ has given you, so this part of the breastplate is God's righteousness. The righteousness of Jesus Christ is upon you. Hallelujah!

Furthermore, take the shield of faith. Is the shield not a protective shield? When the enemy's arrows come, you raise your shield to block them, protecting you from harm. Although the limbs may not be fatal, it is still quite important. When the devil raises his sword to strike you, you must raise this shield to block it. What is the shield? Faith.

What have I shared with you before? What is faith? In the original Greek, faith means to believe without doubt, to believe continuously. Today, what can withstand the devil's attacks on you? It is your continuous belief in God's word, believing without doubt in God's word. Regardless of what attacks come, you can block them. This is our way to victory.

Is the sword of the Spirit your weapon of attack? You have a shield in one hand and a sword in the other. This sword is the sword of the Spirit; you take up the sword of the Spirit. Tell me, who can overcome the Spirit? The devil cannot stand against the Spirit. Thank the Lord! What does the sword of the Spirit refer to? It refers to the word of God. Hallelujah!

When Jesus was tempted by the devil, the devil said, "If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread." Jesus used God's word to overcome the devil. Amen! So today, no matter what kind of attack the devil brings you, if you want to overcome it, you must use God's word to defeat it. Hallelujah!

So brothers and sisters, as the new year begins, read the Bible more, let God's word become the sharp sword in your daily work and life, and you can overcome all the schemes of the devil. Hallelujah!

Earlier, we mentioned to gird your waist. What belt do we use to gird our waist? In verse 14, it tells us to gird our waist with truth. In the past, if a person did not gird their waist, they would have no strength. When you gird your waist with the belt of truth, you will have strength. Hallelujah!

What is truth? Jesus Christ is the truth.

John 14 tells us, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." Jesus Himself is the truth. Hallelujah! So you must gird your waist with Jesus; He is your strength. Hallelujah! Girding your waist with truth means that every time you come to church to listen to the word, you are not listening to the shortcomings of a certain person; you are here to hear the word of Jesus Christ. When you hear such a word, it will become your strength, becoming the strength in your waist, and when you go out, you can turn from weakness to strength.

Ephesians 6:15 says, "And having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace."

Shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. This peace comes from Jesus Christ; His peace is given to us today. Hallelujah! So that we do not stumble as we walk, because His peace is always on your feet, God will support us to keep moving forward. In the new year, you must believe that the Lord Jesus will support your feet and lead us forward. Hallelujah! Thank the Lord!

Earlier, we mentioned that the Israelites had to gird their waists, wear shoes, and hold a staff, and eat quickly. And today, this refers to you putting on the whole armor of God. When you put on the armor, when the devil attacks you, you will not be harmed; instead, you can overcome it. Through Jesus Christ, you can be victorious.

Earlier, we mentioned unleavened bread, bitter herbs, and the belt around the waist, etc. The important thing is that they had to eat the lamb's meat that night, right? You can visualize in your mind the scene of the Israelites at home, with a whole lamb roasting over the fire!

What does this lamb represent? We will share three points:

First, the lamb's meat represents the body of Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 10 tells us,

For the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins. Therefore, when Christ came into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me."

Jesus offered His body as a sacrifice for our sins once for all, thus removing our sins. So you can understand that the lamb roasted during the Passover in the Old Testament represents the body of Jesus Christ today. Through the body of Christ, the issue of our sins is resolved. He died for us, and we live for Him.

Second, it represents the word of God.

Eating the lamb's meat can be understood as eating the words of the Bible. That is to say, when you read the words of the Bible, you are actually reading Jesus Christ Himself; you are essentially eating His flesh.

Because John 1 tells us, "The Word became flesh" (this Word is God's word), "and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

Psalm 18:39 tells us, "The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him."

God's word, when you read it every day, becomes your strength and your shield.

Jeremiah 15:16 tells us,

"O Lord God of hosts, I found Your words, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by Your name."

Jeremiah said, "Lord, when I received Your words, I ate them as food." Amen! I hope brothers and sisters can take God's word as food, eating a little every day, and it will become your strength and bring joy and happiness to your heart. In fact, most people today are troubled, whether they are doing well or poorly, but today God gives us a method: when you read God's word every day, you will receive a joyful and happy heart.

Third, the lamb's meat symbolizes communion.

Let’s look at a passage from the New Testament, John 6, starting from verse 50 to 51:

"This is the bread that comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world."

Verses 53 to 56 say,

"Then Jesus said to them, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.'"

Many people say, "Oh, Christianity cannot be believed; this is asking us to eat people!" Some say this does not mean to literally eat Jesus but to consume His words, to read His words. No, what Jesus is talking about here is not a metaphor for God's word; why? Because the Jews could understand.

In verse 52, Jesus said, "You must eat My food because I am that food." The Jews said, "How can this man give us His flesh to eat?" If the Jews could understand this matter, we need not discuss anything else today, right? He was referring to His own flesh. How do we eat Jesus' flesh today? There is no opportunity anymore; Jesus died two thousand years ago!

How do we eat Jesus' flesh today? Actually, the original meaning is like we eat food, "crunch, crunch," which implies chewing. So it has no spiritual meaning; it simply means to eat food. So Jesus said, "You must eat My flesh and drink My blood to have life in you."

Today, what can represent the flesh of Jesus and the blood of Jesus during gatherings? It is communion. In the New Testament, after the last supper, Jesus took the bread, broke it, and said, "This is My body." Then He took the cup and said, "This is My blood, which is shed for you."

Today, how do we eat Jesus' flesh and drink His blood? Through communion. Thank the Lord! So communion is the only tangible representation of Jesus' body that we can see today, and it is something we should often share. When we frequently partake in communion, God's life is within you.

Verse 56 says, "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him." Amen! Today, when you partake in communion, Jesus is in you, and you are in Jesus, and you are always in Him. Why can many people receive healing through communion? Because they know that what they are eating today is not just a piece of bread, but the body of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! The body of Jesus has healing power! Hallelujah!

Let’s review what we shared today. The blessings God gives us have two aspects:

The first aspect is salvation. We can all be saved through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. This precious blood is not for us to see; it is for God to see. Through this precious blood, God forgives all our sins, so we are called saved people. Our salvation relies on the precious blood of Jesus Christ; it relies on God's free grace, which has nothing to do with our actions. Hallelujah!

The other aspect is eating the lamb's meat. It tells us that Christians, besides being saved, should also become victorious people. People often fail because they eat too little and pay too little attention to God's word. Restoring communication with God naturally gives strength and leads to victory.

Today, God wants to grant us that in every aspect of your life, God has given you a way to victory. What is it? The way to victory is: you must eat the lamb's meat every day. Hallelujah! Earlier, we mentioned that the lamb's meat refers to the body of Jesus Christ and the word of God, both aspects. So you can read the Bible daily, meditate on God's word, and then say, "Lord, I wish this passage of scripture would take effect in my life today."

When you eat the lamb's meat, you will turn from weakness to strength. Hallelujah! You will receive God's righteousness, you will receive the completeness of Jesus, you will receive the strength of Jesus, you will receive His healing, Hallelujah! You will receive peace that comes from Him because Jesus is the Prince of Peace; you will also receive the joy of Jesus because Jesus is the King of Joy.

So today, believing in Jesus is not like some people say, "Oh, believing in Jesus only concerns what happens after we die; we have to rely on ourselves while we are alive." This is incorrect. Jesus cares for us in two aspects: one is after we die, through the precious blood of Jesus, God sees it and can lead us into the kingdom of heaven, right? The other aspect is that we can be victorious in life. Hallelujah!

That is to say, today, by continually receiving God's word and drawing near to God, you can become a victorious Christian in every aspect of your life. Hallelujah! People can see that in your life, your prosperity, your success, and that you are blessed by God in every way. This is something people can see, isn't it, in this life?

In the Bible, God gives us a promise: if you are willing to present yourself before God, He will let you receive a hundredfold in this life and grant you eternal life in the age to come. Amen! Jesus is not just the God of what happens after we die; while we are alive, you can rely on Him every day to become a victorious person. So when you come to accept Him, you say you are willing to accept Jesus, you will receive His saving life. When you read God's word every day in life and receive God's word, you will receive His provision, allowing you to be victorious in all things in life. Hallelujah!

Psalm 105:37-38 says, "He brought out His people with silver and gold, and there was none feeble among His tribes."

When they came out, the Egyptians were glad, for the Egyptians feared them.

Have you noticed? When the Israelites left Egypt, was there a single sick person among them? No. Was there anyone who could not walk? No. It mentions that these people brought out gold and silver, and their kneading bowls; the Bible records that they left in such a hurry that the dough had not risen, and they carried it on their shoulders. When two million people came out, not a single one was sick. What was the reason? When did they gain strength?

It was the night before they left Egypt when a wonderful thing happened: they were all eating the lamb's meat! Were they not? They were all eating. Do you believe that among two million Israelites, there was not a single sick person? There must have been! Because at that time, they were slaves, and even if they were sick, the Egyptians would not treat them. If someone fell ill and died, they would just bury them. They would not spend money on them; that would be too wasteful.

So we believe that some of them may have been sick before, because today, the probability in this world is such that if you randomly pick a nation of two million people, you cannot find a single sick person among them. It is simply impossible, isn't it? If you randomly pick two million people in our country, there will definitely be sick people, right?

But the Israelites, like normal people, might have had sick people among them, but the miracle is that when they left Egypt the next day, not a single one was weak. So we need to see how they gained strength. How did they receive healing? It was that night when every household was doing the same thing, eating roasted lamb, Hallelujah! That symbolizes the body of Jesus Christ. Through God's word, you can receive health; through God's word, you can receive healing; likewise, through God's word, you can turn from weakness to strength.

I hope brothers and sisters can meditate on these words this week. "Lord, when the Israelites left Egypt, not a single one was weak. Therefore, today, as I receive Your word, I have also listened to the word, and I am digesting it. I will also become a strong person. This week, in my life, I will also not be weak." Declare this for yourself. Hallelujah!

Let us pray together:

Loving Heavenly Father, we thank and praise You for Your grace. Through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, I can receive Your salvation today. We can also become victorious Christians, for we rely on eating the lamb's meat. Through receiving Your word, through listening to the word, through reading the Bible, and through gathering, may Your word become the strength in my heart, may Your words become our help at all times. Through Your word, we can overcome all problems in life.

This year is a year of victory for us. We learn to rely on Jesus for victory in all things in life. We look to You, Lord Jesus, for Your daily provision, and we accept the healing from God, declaring that this week, all will be blessed by God. Diseases have no power over me because every day I receive Your health and Your completeness from God.

Lord, we wish for everyone to see the glory of Jesus Christ in us. Thank You for leading us through this time today. Bless every brother and sister who seeks You today. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen, Hallelujah!
